Spread along the Algarve coastline and bordered by the wondrous towns of Albufeira and Vilamoura, the Falésia beach is one of the largest in the Algarve (about 3 kilometers wide).

It starts at Beach Maria Luisa and it ends only in Vilamoura. You can get to the beach for Albufeira or Vilamoura. It is one of the hardest to get crowed due to its areal extent and has repeatedly been elected by Traveller’s Choice as one of the top 25 beaches in Europe.

This beach takes its name from the fascinating gouged red cliffs that form a backdrop to the endless stretch of sand. As these cliffs are not very tall it makes access convenient whilst acting as a suitable barrier to any winds from the north during the out-of-season.

This beach is to be found west of Vilamoura before reaching Olhos de Água and approximately half way you have the fabulous and awarded Pine Cliffs Resort with some amazing properties with a perfect location.

Set on a cliff, this incredibly gorgeous beach of gleaming sand and rugged scenery offers a broad range of water sports in the high season.

This Algarve Beach has many labels such as “divine”, the “white powder sand,” the absence “of seaweed and stones” and a composite scenario by Cliff “of an incredible red”.

Renowned for its tender waves and grassy dunes, the Falésia beach makes a refreshing change from the city and is an absolute delight for swimming or strolling.

With its soft breeze and dazzling vistas, the Falésia beach has become a popular tourist attraction and a gathering point for locals, particularly because of its bewildering sunsets.

The marvelously ultra-vivid sunsets look majestic when seen from down there. Bright warm lights are reflected on the ocean as the sun rises and sets over the beach while colors flourish exuberantly and are thrown back into the sky.

Boasting a number of seaside restaurants across a spread of diverse cuisines and bars within walking distance, when visiting the Falésia beach, don’t miss out on the opportunity to take a leisure walk through the scenic villages of Olhos de Água and Açoteias.
